This Italian American style restaurant fits right in with the Filipino palate. Heavy, flavorsome, and comforting.
I have been to one Buca di Beppo branch, and that was way back in the day circa 2006 in Gaithersburg, Md, USA. I had no idea they were a franchise, let alone an international one! So, when rumors sparked that they would be opening one in my neighborhood of BGC (Philippines) I was so excited! Yass!
In my opinion, the best way to experience Buca di Beppo is with a large group. Fun group - preferably! Their portions are family sized, and yes, you do get to choose what “family size” you prefer.
The restaurant has many designated areas to achieve that cozy and Italian home feel. My favorite being the Pope’s corner. It was quite creepy to have the Pope’s head on the table. But it all added to the traditional Italian family - home ambience.
We celebrated a family reunion (15 of us) and from the photos you can see the interior and menu is ideal for an event like this. Most importantly the service and food was all on point! I had made a reservation earlier that day and accommodated us very well, considering we were arriving only a few hours prior to them closing.
Another thing that was good was that they didn’t keep us waiting for too long, and neither was the food quality compromised.
Check out my pics of the jolly good time we all had at Buca di Beppo, Bonifacio Global City, and don’t be shy and pay them a visit if you are in the 'hood!
Thanks Buca! See you again soon!
